Indian Railways announces additional coaches and special trains for Diwali & Chhath Puja, facilitating over 1 crore passengers. Kavach 4.0 safety system also launched.

Ahead of the upcoming festivals including Diwali and Chhath Puja, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw here on Friday announced that the Indian Railways will run 5,975 special trains for these festivals to facilitate passengers.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw shared this information with a select group of journalists, emphasizing the railway's commitment to managing the increased passenger demand during this busy time.

The Railway Ministry has been working on this project for the last eight years to bring the rail network under the Kavach system in a phased manner.
