Brevard County provided an update on its preparations ahead of Tropical Storm Helene, which is expected to become a major hurricane before making landfall Thursday over Florida.

Ron DeSantis updated the list of counties under a state of emergency to 61 out of 67. As of Tuesday morning, Brevard County was added to the list. Space Coast residents can expect lots of rain and high winds.
