Traverse City — The Red Wings put together an exciting end to last season that almost culminated with a playoff berth. Captain Dylan Larkin said Thursday he thought about the Wings' final home game at Little Caesars Arena, with Lucas Raymond's dramatic goal in the waning seconds, and how the crowd erupted.

The Red Wings will practice and scrimmage at Centre I.C.E. Arena through Sunday, when camp concludes with a Red and White game (2 p.m., streamed on detroitredwings.com). The preseason opener is Wednesday in Chicago.

The Detroit Red Wings have signed Lucas Raymond to a huge eight-year contract. This signing completes one of the team’s more important pieces of business for the summer. However, there is still one piece of business left for Detroit before the season begins.

"I know I have a next level," Larkin said Thursday at the opening day of Red Wings training camp. "I would like to see what I can do. I'd like to be a dominant player like I have been when I'm healthy. And that's a big thing for me is staying healthy this year and trying to dominate."
