Conditions look favorable for a broad area of low pressure in the central Caribbean Sea to become a tropical depression in the next day or two. Specifically, its development probability is at a 90% within the next 48 hours.

The NHC said Tuesday it is tracking a tropical wave in the Caribbean Sea that could become a tropical depression by the end of the week.

A tropical depression is expected to form in the next few days, the National Hurricane Center said. “Next week, what will become the next named storm of the hurricane season, can impact Florida. Invest 99L is likely to become a tropical depressing in the next day or so and continue to strengthen through the end of the week,
