Airport Fire initially started 1:21 p.m. Sep. 9 in Orange, Riverside County. After being active for 15 days, it has burned 23,526 acres. A crew of 584 firefighters has been working on site and, by Tuesday morning, they managed to contain 88% of the fire. The wildfire originated from equipment usage.

A crew of 1,118 firefighters has been working on site and, by Monday morning, they managed to contain 81% of the fire. The wildfire originated from equipment usage.

Kwong, Orange County's health officer, on Friday reissued an emergency declarationn for the Airport fire that began Sept. 9 and has so far consumed more than 23,000 acres.
