Formula 1 has announced a new agreement with the ACM that will see the iconic Monaco Grand Prix remain on the F1 calendar until 2031.

Formula 1 has made an official announcement regarding the future of the Monaco Grand Prix, with a huge change set to be made. Set against a lavish backdrop of luxury yachts and hotels, the Monaco GP is one of the most recognisable and iconic events on the F1 calendar and had its place on the schedule of the first official F1 season back in 1950.

Formula One's iconic Monaco Grand Prix will remain on the calendar until at least 2031 after a six-year extension was announced on Thursday with a date change to June that also avoids future clashes with the Indianapolis 500.

F1 has agreed a new six-year deal with the Monaco Grand Prix, keeping the famous race on the calendar until 2031 inclusive. The race in the principality featured on the first F1 world championship calendar in 1950 and has been an ever-present since 1955.

The track layout around Monaco's ribbon of tarmac will not change. Formula One bosses have accepted it is impossible to remodel the circuit despite the it struggling to offer overtaking opportunities.
