A massive amount of reward money offered for information in the deadly mass shooting in Birmingham’s Five Points South is pulling in dozens of tips. Since the $100,000 reward was announced Monday, Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama has received close to 50 tips.

“When information given through Crime Stoppers leads to an arrest or charges, that person may be eligible to receive a reward – even when we don’t know who they are,” he said. Assistant Commissioner Robert Blackwood said the payments reflect the “significant” nature of the information provided.
