Lebanon’s Hezbollah has launched over 100 rockets into northern Israel in response to ramped-up Israeli attacks that killed dozens of people in Beirut, including a veteran leader of the militant group.

Israel’s air force has carried out dozens of airstrikes on southern Lebanon as the Israeli military called on people in the area to immediately evacuate homes and other buildings where it claims the Hezbollah militant group stores weapons.

Israel is bombing targets across many parts of Lebanon, striking senior militants in Beirut and apparently hiding bombs in pagers and walkie-talkies. Hezbollah is firing rockets and drones deep into northern Israel,
