PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A man is dead, and a woman is in the hospital after a car landed on its side following a crash in Phoenix on Friday night. Officers were called to a crash involving a pedestrian around 8:20 p.m. on Cave Creek Road near Mountain View Road, north of Dunlap Avenue.

An ATV crash near 47th Avenue and Beardsley Road left one person dead and another person injured, police said.

On Sunday, Travis Smith, 24, contacted the Phoenix Police Department stating that he was the driver involved in the collision and admitted to running from the scene. After being interviewed for the incident, he was taken to a nearby hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
