(Bloomberg) -- Invitation Homes Inc. agreed to pay $48 million in a proposed settlement after the Federal Trade Commission alleged that the single-family landlord heaped hidden costs on renters.
The FTC said Tuesday that Invitation Homes unfairly withheld renters’ security deposits, charged them hidden fees and rented out houses in poor condition.
