Jammu and Kashmir is going to have a new assembly after 10 years. The last elections were held in 2014 when Jammu and Kashmir was a state. However, in 2019, Article 370 was abrogated. Subsequently, the J-K Reorganisation Act was passed that bifurcated the state into two UTs- J-K and Ladakh.
