A verified fundraiser has been launched to help the family of Tuskegee University homecoming shooting victim La'Tavion Johnson cover expenses surrounding his death. Johnson, 18, was killed when shooting broke out in the early hours of Sunday morning during homecoming weekend.

A shooting at Tuskegee University in Alabama during a homecoming celebration on Sunday resulted in the death of an individual and 16 injuries, the university said. Twelve people were wounded by gunfire, and four others sustained injuries not related to the gunshots, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said in a Sunday afternoon update.
