Nov 7, 2024 · Homer Keith Lowrance joined his wife in heaven on Oct. 23, 2024. Homer was born on Nov. 22, 1932, to John Franklin and Alice Rawlins Lowrance in Munday. He was the youngest of thirteen children. He graduated from Munday High School in 1951 and was drafted into the US Army in April 1953 near the end of the Korean conflict.

Oct 31, 2024 · KNOX COUNTY – Elections Administrator and County District Clerk Lisa Cypert reported that early voting in Knox County is surpassing the usual turnout, with 376 early votes received as of Sunday, Oct. 27. This does not include mail-in ballots, only inperson early votes. Early voting began on Oct. 21, so that number of early votes is for only seven days of voting.

Nov 9, 2023 · KNOX COUNTY – Dustin Wiggans at the James E. “Bud” Smith Plant Materials Center northwest of Knox City reports rainfall received this October was significantly more than last year. This October 5.54 inches was recorded as compared to only 2.25 inches in 2022. In 2021, only 0.81 inches was received for the month. This October also surpassed the average rainfall of 2.50 inches.
